Donald Trump will be inaugurated on January 20. Right after his election, he declared an attack on transgender people and immigrants. Under the banner of the so-called culture war he seeks to beat the left and rally the far right. Globally the rise of the far right has been accompanied by intensifying attacks on abortion rights, LGBT+, and racism through cultural wars.
South Korea is no exception. Yoon Suk-yeol is following Trump's lead in inciting the far right, which seeks to accelerate the culture war.
We'll analyze the culture war from a Marxist perspective and discuss how the left should respond.
