Amid growing outrage over the genocide in Gaza, European countries including France and the UK declared their intent to recognise Palestinian state and reigniting discussions on the two-state solution. The United States and Israel rejected the move, but they appear increasingly isolated.

The two-state solution proposes the establishment of a Palestinian state coexisting alongside Israel. However, due to the Israel's ongoing dispossession of Palestinians it has long been seen as futile. So why has it resurfaced now, and what effect might it have? For those who support Palestinian liberation, how should we respond?
