프랑스 최대 중등교원노조, 배이상헌 교사 지지 성명 발표

프랑스 최대 중등교원노조 SNES-FSU가 성평등교육을 하다 형사 고발되고 직위해제된 광주의 배이상헌 교사에게 지지와 연대를 나타내는 성명을 11월 13일 ‘성평등교육과 배이상헌을 지키는 시민모임’에 보내왔다. 성명서를 조직·번역해 주신 장효진 전교조 교사께 감사 드린다.

친애하는 동료에게,
SNES-FSU
어느 학교에서든 성평등 이슈에 대한 감수성은 마땅히 일깨워져야 할 것이다. 이는 대한민국의 모든 교사가 응당 가져야 할 학문의 자유를 존중하기 위함이다.
성평등과 학문의 자유를 토대로 SNES-FSU의 대외 협력국은 다음 내용을 규탄한다. ‘억압받는 다수’를 수업에서 보여 주었다는 이유로, 배이상헌 교사는 용납할 수 없는 성비위 혐의를 적용받았다. SNES-FSU는 이를 규탄한다. 따라서 SNES-FSU는 배이상헌 교사에 대한 모든 혐의를 취하할 것을 요구하는 바이다.

Message of support and solidarity from SNES-FSU
Dear colleague,
SNES-FSU, the most important secondary education union in France, reasserts that Education and in particular, education personnel play an important role in defending gender equality in society through the promotion of civic education and universal values such as tolerance, democracy, freedom and nondiscrimination.
Raising awareness on gender equality issues within any school should be respected as part of the academic freedom of any member of the teaching profession in South Korea.
This is the reason why the International Department of SNES-FSU denounces the inaccepable situation concerning Mr Bae Lee Sang-hun who is charged with sexual abuse for showing the video clip entitled « The Oppressed Majority » in his class. SNES-FSU supports all the demands to drop the charges against Mr Bae Lee Sang-hun.
